TalkingSo we picked up Diesel - - -

And find that they shaved his ENTIRE face. He looks a little like a cross between a brown condor and Mr. Magoo.

We have to give him 3 kinds of eyedrops (one of them for the next 18 months!!!) 3- 4 times a day and Prednisone 1x a day.

Snagged my friend's Bull Mastiff's crate so he has a lot of space and he is going to be my prisoner for the next 2 weeks. In a day or 2, when his eyes are not so sensitive, I'll get a picture of his new look. No eyelashes, no whiskers, hair trimmed way up to the back of his skull. It is pretty humorous.

The vet is thrilled with how quickly his eyes are responding. His sight is nearly normal one day after surgery. Best he has ever done, he says.

    Thanks again for your support!
    Sharon, Blaise and Diesel.

Great news! I can't even visualize what he must look like. =)

I'm so glad he came through it okay! Don't laugh at him too much, you might give him a complex!

I think he is! And Blaise can't quite figure out what happened to his brother. He is keeping his distance when Diesel is out of the crate - which is just fine.

I'm glad he is doing well, but I can't help feeling sorry for the poor boy. They have a lot of dignity, don't they?
