Sorry this took so long but things have been really busy. I thought I might drop a line with some pics to update those who were interested in hearing about Sam...the german shepard foster I have (and still have).
Well it has been a great five weeks with much much improvment. For those that did not read about her, she was picked up as a stray, spent a couple of weeks in the pound and was due to be put down because she was unclaimed and labelled unadoptable (too hyper, no manners and played too rough). Heavenly Creatures sprung her to give her a new lease on life. She was placed with a foster home who meant well but could not deal with her so I took her on. Well, she was all that was described plus she went into heat the day that I got her. OH BOY!!!! However, five weeks later, the heat is over, she walks on a loose leash, is hous broken, knows her basic commands (and some more advanced ones) well, comes when called and is finally putting on some weight. She is a dream to have around now actually except for her clumsiness...probably because she did not spend much time in the house before. She loves my boys, particularly Morgan who I find her snuggling with all the time.
We have had lots of phone calls on her with interested parties however not a whole lot were "appropriate"...mainly people looking for a big guard dog...that kinda thing. Anyway, she is adorable and has come so far. Hopefully a great home will come forward soon...until then though she is fine and very happy with me.
Here she is in all her glory, looking all regale
And with Morgan after enjoying a great round of bitey face and rolling around in the snow
and with both Morgan and Tanner after another game of bitey face and butt tucking which the boys have LOVED teaching her
You've done a wonderful job! She is gorgeous.
Wow! She is a beauty...

I have had the pleasure of meeting Sam...what a beauty.
I was getting in my car the other day after walking Tiller and saw Ken walking the three dogs on leashes and they where all walking next to each other, no one pulling, just a lovely site to see. Ken, you have done an AMAZING job your doggies.
I can see Morgan cuddling with Sam...she has that tempermant.
Whoever adopts Sam will be very lucky.
There is no way I could foster. She would be staying with me! ;D
