Our middle-daughter (age 11) is a Girl Scout. Her troop has gotten behind in badges for some reason, and they're hell-bent on making up the lost time. Each member's parents were tagged to lead the effort in walking the girls through the tasks related to earning a badge.
We got the Pet Care/Dog Handling assignment.
Meeting was yesterday afternoon in our family room. Wesley did really well, allowing 13 girls to brush him, file his nails some, brush his teeth, look for ticks, clean his ears, etc. etc.
At the end, he was all wigglybutt as the petted an made a fuss over him. GOOD BOY, WESLEY!!
Biggest hit of the meeting: Our daughter made sugar cookies for the snack for the scouts. She used a dog-bone cookie cutter, and each Scout got to munch a treat-shaped cookie.
Good boy, Wes! Did you get a sugar cookie for all your hard work?
Murphy, Riley, and Piper
Awww...good boy Wesley! I'm sure all the girls had a great time too
Wesley!!!! 13 cookies!!!! Wow!
Uh! Each girl didn't give you a cookie treat? Better call the National Girl Scout Office and report them for not being generous. ;D
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
A gaggle of girl scouts + a plateful of cookies divided by 10 minutes = a plateful of crumbs before you can say the scout pledge. Wes did get one of his regular dog treats. Me? Cookies both sugar and canine are off my diet.Originally Posted by Endofile

Cool! Maybe I should get a troop over to my house to groom my puppers!!
I can hear the girls giggling as I read that. Just seems that a group of girls and giggles go hand in hand. Good boy Wes, will you earn your badge too?

Awwww, good boy Wesley!
