Fitz is going to the vet in a hour to get his next round of puppy shots, rabies vaccine today too. I'm a little worried because he developed a fever after the last round. DH is going to give him some baby Benadryl right now to try and prevent any adverse reaction. But I'm still a little concerned about my baby...Hope he's ok in a few hours and sleeps through the night tonight. (He didn't after the first round of shots, I held him all night and he cried and panted, cried and panted, panted and cried... )
I told DH to take Clarence with him too, to get weighed, we've been working hard on our "1 treat per day" policy and exercising.
Good thoughts for Fitz. Hopefully this time everything is more uneventful. Would it be possible to split the shots and rabies?
I guess it would be, I didn't ask...We need to start puppy classes though, so I was thinking it would be best to get them all done ASAP...I might call DH and see if they can split them up....
We were able to get Diesel into puppy class without the rabies shot, just the second set of shots.
He will be getting his rabies shot this evening.
My vet recommended splitting the rabies shot from the others by a couple weeks.
I would definately split them, especially if he's having a reaction.
Yep, split them, split them!!
Me, Abzilla and the Helomonster.
If it's not too late I have give the rabies seperate too. Mocha got a huge knot from her rabies shot (just the first one she's been find with others)
Leigh, definitely split them if you can. Especially if he's already had a reaction in the past...
Hope he's doing okay, your little guy (and your big guy!)!
Thanks all. I got ahead of myself--he's only 12 weeks so he gets the rabies shot at 16 weeks, the next appointment. I'm going to ask them to split them. Thanks!
