I cut my dogs, actually just cut Aries, now it's bleeding, I just put the special powder to stop it. :-\
yes, i did that to luke once. after that i looked into using a dremel to file the dogs nails for trimmings instead of using the cutter, and i've been using the dremel ever since.

That actually seems much better than cutting, I should do that too.
I cut my dog's nails. Aly and Tatum lie on their backs on my lap so I have better access. Jacob sits and gives me his paws. He is more of a challenge.
I'm Jenn. Keeper of two labs in my home and one forever in my heart.
Throw the ball, damn it!
I clip both mine and my granddogs. I am fortunate, they are all usually pretty cooperative.
I do both of mine too. Only had one major bleeding episode to date. They're both pretty cooperative, I do Peanut in my lap and Baloo I sit on the floor with him on his back in between my legs.
Baloo - 5 year old black lab
Peanut - 7 year old minpin
Monster - 3-ish year old frenchie/jack, rescue
I do all of my pups and our cats too. We've really only had one bad episode with Toby (beagle)...other than that he has had a knick or two...he's my jumpy pup. No accidents with the others. They are all really pretty good about letting me clip them as long as they get their treat afterwards! :
I do Sammis also, so far I have been lucky! It can be kind of tricky with black nails- so sorry that happened- Di
I dremel Murray and Essy's. They actually fight over who gets to have their nails done first. It's pretty funny. Cricket is going to take some more time to fully trust me and get used to the dremel so I take her to the vet and let them deal with her for now.
i cut both my boys' nails almost weekly.
theo is never particularily thrilled, but he tolerates it, esp when enticed with treats. i accidentally nicked his quick this past weekend but the quik stop powder worked immediately, phew.
dexter absolutely loves it, rolls over on his back and doesn't care at all.
hope Aries is ok!!
