We have a foster family in Burt, MI, who was fostering a 2 year old chocolate dog, named Buster for us. They have a black lab named Shelby and a Treeing Walker Hound named Kenzie. Kenzie bolted this morning and was unfortunately hit and killed by a car.
Kenzie was only 7 months old.
On top of this, Buster's getting adopted today and their kids are very attached to both Kenzie and Buster. Shelby will get a lot of extra love, but for a family to go from 3 dogs to 1 in a day is going to be hard. My foster is doing well despite the circumstances.

Saving one dog will not change the world But, surely, for that one dog the world will change forever!
That's heartbreakingly sad. Godspeed Kenzie

How awful. Those poor kids. :'(
It's good that the foster found a forever home though, just bad timing.
I've never heard of this breed. Is it a bolter by nature?
