This is ellie...she is a 2yr old female german shepherd. My friend is away for a few days they rescued her about 5 days after i got Alfie. They rescued her from a BYB who didnt actually manage to get any puppies from her just got rid she has never been socialised with humans and is very scared of ppl except the kids. You have to walk bkwards 2wards her, make no eye contact then stroke her else she freaks out poor girl!
Did she have no contact or abusive contact? Question just pops in my head from reading. No answer anticipated.Originally Posted by kaznalf

Since they got her they have had her spayed...the vet said this will help hormones and make her less scatty which is slightly true. Just hope she comes round eventually!Originally Posted by pj
She's sooo pretty, that's sooo sweet that your friend rescued her.
What a pretty girl - poor thing; so glad your friends have taken her in.
She is so pretty. She is still young and hopefully will have a wonderful rest of her long life.
Hey, I have a Shepherd who was like that when I got her (albeit I got her younger than 2). She needs confidence building and time in a group obedience class and possibly an agility course would help her as well Did wonders with my girl.Originally Posted by kaznalf
A Gentle Leader head halter helped my dog as well.
My dog became a vastly different dog after our efforts to build her confidence and trust in us. It's doable for this dog. Just don't let her weirdness set the tone.
She is awfully pretty! Your friend is wonderful to want to help out this challenging dog.
Good to know she has got her on a list for OB classes but next set satrt in 12 weeks so she has to waitOriginally Posted by BigBrownDog
