I just got a quick update from Jake's new family YAY!
Things went well with the full introduction with their other two dogs and it appears Jake is settling in quite well
Here is jake with his new brother and sister (photo taken this afternoon in his new home)
Oh my gosh! The hubby had made Jake his very own elevated feeder. They had a tag with his name and their info (address/phone). New collars (though they said the "real" collar will be made soon, the braided leather ones). His crate was out. Vet appointment is Tuesday and Obedience classes start Friday!!!!!!!
He was very comfortable there (as was Rocky by the way!) but...the look he gave me as I left. :'( He was confused and NOT happy to see me leave.
I know I made the right decision, they will love him as much as I did and give him an even better life than I could provide him. None the less...my heart achs.
Jake SNUCK under my jacket which I had thrown on the couch - he did this on his own!
Charlie (foster) and Rocky
You did a wonderful thing for Jake! Sounds like he will be really happy and loved in his new home. He sure is a handsome.

Gorgeous boy. He will settle in and have a wonderful life.
Awwww, he's gorgeous...I know you're sad, but like Danie said, he'll settle in and he'll have a wonderful life.
What a wonderful gift you gave Jake!
Katie and Boo
He'll have a little bit of your heart forever
so glad they are well set up for him - sounds like a great home!
been in the same bittersweet place many times (most recently a week ago!)

The heartbreak is the part I worry about if I get approved to foster. Kisses to Jake, sounds like he's got a wonderful forever home and humans who will love him. Kudos to you for giving him the chance...
Have a wonderful life, Jake.
I know your tears are bittersweet....I expect to have them for Chavine as she is really doing a number on my heart! :-\
Have a happy life with your new family Jake.
Thanks for caring for him Tanya..you done GOOD!
Awww...under your jacket!
I know it's sooo hard to see him go, but keep remembering you did such a great thing for him.
