They just moved in about 3 weeks ago and I had heard from the previous owners that I would "love them." They seem to be really super nice but here's the clincher: They are Lab fanatics!! They had a yellow Lab for 15 yrs and so badly want another but can't at the moment. The family consists of daughter, husband and daughter's mom, who is about 70-ish. Very active. They just came home and the mother says to me: "I am sure I am going to love you but I am already in love with your dog." Then the mother and daughter said that if I ever go away, they will take Cooper so I don't have to kennel him.
Not sure I would do that (for a number of reasons....#1 is that they have a cat. If they have Cooper in their house, that cat will be history) but it's comforting to know that if there is ever an emergency and I have to leave asap, I could rely on them to help temporarily. We live in a great neighbourhood, everyone close to our house is so friendly and nice. Lucky us.
That's so cool! Even if you don't want to leave Coop at their house, they would probably take him on a walkie if you have a long day. ;D

Hey - if you are ever in a bind you can give me a shout I'm back to one dog now
Think they'd want an older lab...
Charlie (foster) and Rocky
Yep...sounds like great neighbors right from the start!
I'll keep that in mind - thanks! (Ditto here, if you are ever in need of finding someone to take Rocky last minute) I'll mention to them about an older lab.....ya never know! ;DOriginally Posted by Tanya
Hey for a day or two they might be willing to restrict the cat to a bedroom. It is nice to know they will at least come let him out in an emergency. Also they won't complain about a little barking.
You ARE lucky. I'm jealous. Want to sell your house?
