Since Jake is one to de-stuff, de-head, shred etc. I am always on the look for damaged toys. I never gave it much thought, but when I see one that needs removed, I throw it in the tv armoire. Today I opened the door and realized it's time to actually throw them out.
Jake is beside himself right now. He WANTS them!!
Those toys still have lots of life in them! Riley is a destuffer also, then carries the limp bodies around for a few months.
Most of those can be repaired and played with again! I always did repair jobs on Shadow's toys and gave them back to her. With the boys, well, there isn't enough left to repair. :-\
Jackie, Champ, and Buddy
Here's a pic of Mo's. I usually go thru them a couple times a year (usually when I buy some new ones for him). This pic doesn't include his huge Moo Cow, Scooby Doo or his Elmo...those have all been sewn a couple times, but I have a hard time getting rid of them. He's loves whipping them around, especially when I leave for work ... LOL

The Love of My Life
Rest in peace my Sweet Chocolate
I Love You and Miss You so much
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
I see more life in those toys! I keep a needle and thread on hand and sew up toys multiple times.
I do take pity and stitch them up from time to time. I can't trust that Jake won't try to eat the stuffing or squeaker. If I just had Jazzy all the toys would be in very good condition. She is very gentle with things. Jake, has one thing on his mind and that is to destroy!
I have boxes of toys like that upstairs and an intention of sewing them some day. Bruno is a destuffer too.
LOL that lloks like my hall closet! I call it the stuffie hospital. ;D
Courtney, Bogey and Calli
Oh it looks like you have a bobo mishap too! It looks as tho his appendix was in the process of being removed! I say get the needle and thread out and let him have at it. Then when they are dead, toss them. You should be glad that at least you can throw some out, we have a basket overflowing with toys. Too many toys!!! ;D
Clancy got a new duck two days ago. Not 40 minutes later, he had ripped off both feet, tore the head away from the body and pulled out the squeeker. The lamb with rope legs has done better. It has only had the bottom legs ripped out (one piece thing just pulled through) but he hasn't disembowled it yet...too busy chewing and sucking on the remaining two rope "arms".
I see you have one of those toys made of ballistic nylon, the supposedly indestructible ones. How long did that survive?
