And I'm so excited!! All being well we will pick up an old rescue lab x next Tuesday. She's 17 years old and has a possible mammary tumour, the last owners handed her in as they didn't want to deal with it and because of her age she did not have a good outlook. I can't wait to get her home, but am stuck as to whether to keep her name or rename her as our girl. Initially we didn't know what her name was so I thought we'd call her Peylo (shortened version of Maikatlapelo which means vitality of the heart), but since then I've found out her name is/was Chloe. Anyway, she looks a gorgeous girlie and when I pick her up I'll definitely post a pic or two.
Wow! Kudos to you for rescuing a senior. I think I would be inclined to keep her name the same. After 17 years I think she would be attached to it.
Oh my goodness, 17 years old?!?!? She must be an angel! Enjoy her and thank you for helping her, it sounds like she really needs some loving!
Awww, poor girl! Glad your taking her in.

Awww...we can't wait to meet her!
Well I promise I'll post some pics of her as soon as I can, she has eyes that are just full to the brim with love, can't wait to get her home.
Oh my, how wonderful to take in that sweet girl. It just baffles me how someone can just let her go, after she was a member of their family for so long ???..........
Aww!!! :-* Awesome that you are taking her in when her family so willing to give her up >! Thank you for taking her in!
Good for you for taking her in, that's just unbelievable that her owners would give her up after all that time. :'(
I would also be inclined to keep her name. I know they say dogs will adjust, but it might be comforting for her to have some things stay the same.
