This just caused my mouth to fall to the floor.
Intermed class was working last night, and I had my hands full, drilling a recall w/a Poodle who was having focus problems and her teen handler who was trying to do everythingatonceohmygodsitstaycomewait.. er.. um....
Wes was in a downstay on the other side of the garage where class is. He was being a good boy, but he was a little put-out because our instructor -- a woman who he'd walk over broken glass to please -- hadn't yet said hello to him. She was tied up with a different issue and had her Dobe with her to demo.
Anyway, he started rutching around when she got close and clearly was giving her the pet-me! pet-me! pet-me! eyes.
So the next thing I know, she grabs his leash and is giving him lovins, and he's adoring it.
And she sets up F8s w/the other students. I'm still into the recall, up to my elbows.
And I glance over, and she's got Wes and her Dobe heeling together, as if they're competing brace (!!!!!!!)
He was on the outside. Did very well, I noted. I was so proud of him!
And I burst out laughing: "Sue that really IS incredible! There truly is nothing you could as of Wesley that he wouldn't do with his entire heart. GOD that dog loves you!!!"
The reply: "And me him."
And Wes just shot me a sideways look that said: "Piece of cake, Dad. Piece of cake!"
;D ;D ;D
That is so cool Dan. Wes just sounds like a very cool dog.
Awww... :-* Wesley
Good going Wesley. Its always a nice feeling knowing someone else (outside of family) loves your dog also.
How cool!! ;D

Good boy, Wes.

That is so cool! And I can just see Wes being SOOOOOO proud of himself. Emilu loved her first instructor,, was scared to death of her second instructor, and likes the one we have now. I started Skippy in basic obedience now, and the instructor uses him to demonstrate things because she knows he is friendly, and knows a little, but not a lot. The other night, he swung his butt around for some scratchin and knocked her over! ;D
Good job, Wesley! You're such a good boy! :-*
The way you describe things is great i have a perfect picture of the whole scene in my head.
Well done Wes, you made your daddy proud ~
Did you manage to sort the poodle out?
