Hi all. We're anxiously anticipating Fitzgerald's arrival next week (we're all set on puppy supplies!). The breeder is out of town until this Thursday so we're not exactly sure of the day. We'd like to get him on Friday, the 25th. The only problem is THE WEATHER!!! It hasn't been above 15 degrees here all day and it's pretty cold in Wisconsin too. The pup can't fly if the temp is below 20 degrees. He needs to have a certificate from a vet if he's ok to fly under 45 degrees (Fahrenheit) even. Are 7 week old puppies ok to fly in 45-20 degree weather? I hope the temps are much higher next week...Pray for warmth!!
Sending warming up thoughts your way!! It never fails, there is always some kind of drama when we are looking forward to something. :-\ I sure hope you can get him as planned!!
Temps here in MN are going subzero tomorrow and going to stay there through Monday. Eastern Wisc is maybe 24 hours behind us. The good news, if you can believe the morons for 10 days out, is that they are predicting near 40 for the end of next week. They don't do too bad on temps here maybe 3 days out, but beyond that, I think they use a roulette wheel. Michigan, Ontario, its coming yor way with snow.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
We're getting some here in Kansas too. Big thing here is the wind. Gusts to 33 mph. Needless to say, just an abbreviated fecth session when I got home and that in our backyard!
Fingers crossed for some warmth!!
Sending good thoughts for warmer weather.
I know how you feel!!! We're in WI & it's been cold all week, the weekend highs are -2 & 0!!!!
It sounds like it'll head back up into the 20s by mid-week next week though.
We'll be praying for warmer weather with you!!
How long is the flight?
Personally I would not expose a young pup to those temps. You never can tell if flights are delayed, or what might happen.
