DefaultNeed some help with fit (3 pics)

This is the first collar I have ever used like this so I need a little guidance please.
This is what Ive got now, its obviously too loose. I have it so when he pulls forward the two rings on ether side meet but tightens just enough for his head not to squirm out.

Any help would be appreciated pics if possible, so I can see what I'm doing wrong here. Thanks !

I'll be interested too. Zoe got one for Christmas. I have used it, and made it so that when pulled, yes, the 2 rings come together. It's just loose enough to put on over her head. Not sure if I'm doing it correctly. ???

That's a martingale collar. Take it off an tighten the loose end but not too much. When on leash it is used as a choke collar.

I am know expert. I tried a Martingale collar and got my trainer helper person to help me adjust it. Of course she was talking as she was doing it and the talk was really simple to me.

Adjust the collar at rest for one finger to fit under the collar easily with it is up relatively high on the neck. When you pull on the collar, it should not close completely, typically an inch left between the two closing ends. That is what I was told. I don't know if it is the best, or if it applies to all Martingales.

Frankie has a martingale that he wears when he goes out in the yard, or when my husband takes him for a walk. It's big enough to slip over his head when we put it on, and slip off. He can't get it off on his own though. We can fit our fingers between it and his neck easily.

That's how Murray's fits too. I'll try to get a picture later.
