    DefaultFrozen Turds EWW

Breezy doesn't ever really bother with the other dogs' poops on our walks, just a quick sniff and that's usually it. It's been really cold here yesterday and today, and so all the poops we encounter on our walks ( > Hello? Ever hear of picking up your dog's poop you morons whoever you are! >) are frozen. She goes to sniff them, and then tries to take a bite!! What's up with that! YUK! Anybody else's dog go for only the frozen ones?

Frozen, fresh, old, dry, wet, soft, firm...he eats them all. :-XBUT - I have heard many others say their dogs picks up this habit at this time of year, when they are frozen. It's not uncommon.

My vet doesn't have an explanation for this but says some dogs digest more of their food than others which would make their poop more uh, tasty?. Boo loves poopcycles, but not her own or my little dog's, just Rush's. ??? Either way, I try to collect these delicacies before she can even think of touching one. :-X :-X My husband will call Boo in and have her go see mommy so I can smell her breath to see if she has been snacking while outside. Needless to say this ISN'T my idea of fun. :P

Our first Lab loved poop. Especially cat poop. I thought it was so disgusting and had many talks with her about it. Unfortunately she ignored me and kept eating it. I'm praying this one has better manners! :-\

Tal will eat other dogs poop, but never his own. I think he would feast on Midnight's poop but I have one of those litter boxes that has a top on it with a swinging door. Solved that particular problem!

Saba finds them irresistable around the end of the winter/early spring. When the snow starts to melt and all the poops are thawing.... For some sick reason. Then I have to hold him on the leash REAL close to me or it's turds for snaks every 5 minutes... :-X :-X

Abby also has a penchant for poopsicles. Drives me nuts.

I don't know that anyone has found a particular dog. There is/was a theory that dogs who were not getting all the proper nutrients in their diet would do this - but that doesn't seem to be the case for many poop eaters.
I think for some dogs, it's just a tasty treat.
