    DefaultKicking the Grass after Pee/Poop

    Do your dogs to this?

Zoe has 3 friends who will kick the grass w/their hind legs after peeing or pooping. What is the meaning of this action? ??? ???

The other day, Tasha was here, playing in the yard.
She had to poop. Then she kicked the grass, sending poop all over the yard and onto our retaining wall. :-X :-X

oh lah. Is it to spread their scent? :-X

    Ruger does it. Magnum doesn't.

Remington remains undecided at this point

Ha! Henery does this. Not all the time, but he definitely does. Sometimes in our own yard, mostly when we're in the park.

I call it wiping his feet.

Molly will do it sometimes. I have never seen Abby do it. Not sure why she does it though. :

Cooper does it all the time, regardless of whether it's our yard or on public property. He's a little more aggressive with the kicking when it's not our yard. He too can really make the turf fly! (note that I said TURF and not turd!!! ;D)

I've seen both my guys do it. Peanut will only do it after a poo, but Baloo is less discriminating. Peanut can really do some damage to the grass when she does it though, so I always have to watch her when she poops on other people's lawns in the greener months. :-\

Pitch only does it when he has an audience. We have 2 Lhaso's across the fence, if they are out, he puts on a show for them.
