    DefaultFrito Feet and Diet...

OK, something occurred to me the other day and I thought I would ask. I'm totally not trying to start anything up about foods or diet or what's good and what's not, K?

But I was thinking about the Frito feet phenomenon, and how Fritos are corn chips...so, for those of you whose dogs feet smell like Fritos, do their diets contain corn?

I wonder because I have never experienced the Frito feet thing, and the boys have never had a food with corn.

Could it be related to corn? Just made me wonder...?

Nope...my dogs don't have corn in their diets. They don't all have frito feet either and all 4 eat the same thing. Come to think of it, the boys don't have frito feet ever, just the girls. I think it's who steps in their pee and who doesn't!

Nope, Henry hasn't had corn in his diet since he was a pup, and he has the bestest Fri-toes!!!

I do find that they're more Frito-y in the summer than the winter though.

Hmmm...there goes my theory! It's just so odd that so many have Frito feet...there has to be a common thread! ???

    How about color?

I thought this thread was going to be about me! ;D My dog's diet does not contain corn, never smelled like Frito feet, but he does get occasional Doritos.

No corn in Bella's diet (Canidae) and she gets the most intoxicating frito feet (especially after she's curled up and snoozed for a while).

Ahhh! Love those corn-chip paw pads! ;D

It's the smell from their sweat glands. No corn in Nellie's diet.

This is a little off topic but had to share. I actually found this website because of the Frito feet phenomenon. LOL. I had just gotten my little lab puppy (over a year ago now) and my friend was visiting. She mentioned that her friend, who also owns a lab, had read on a forum that labs feet smell like fritos. After we smelled his feet and confirmed this, she gave me the website, which turned out to be this one. I checked it out and have been hanging around since. Thank God, because I have learned so much from here.

And to reply to the topic, Chatham has been through at least 3 foods and none contained corn.
