We have a 3 1/2 year old male (Hershey) who hasn't had a lot exposure to other dogs. Our son just rescued a 3 year old female lab/retriever mix female (Paris). He plans to bring her home with him over the holidays. Paris has had more socialization than Hershey has.
I am wondering what is the best way to introduce them? Should we just bring Paris right into the house or should be let them "feel eachother out" in the yard? Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.
I think having them meet on neutral ground may be better. Also, do the dogs have any issues, like food agression or guarding toys? I would take it slow & watch them closely to see how they interact with each other. Good luck.
I would take them for a walk together first or let them meet in a neutral yard.
