The vet had told me that they might have to sedate Sam to do the ultrasound, and although they didn't mention it to SU when he picked him up, they must have done it because he was totally out of it last night. Just staring off in to space, would hardly move. His belly, ears, and lips felt cold to the touch.
When I walked in the door, he summoned all his energy and I got the usual greeting, full on happiness, and it must have really bothered Bodie that Sam was gone all day because when I sat down on the couch he jumped up on me, giving me soooo many kisses, which he never does. Bodie will usually just wag his tail and walk back and forth when we get home. Sam seems back to normal this morning, maybe a little more tired than usual, but he had a good appetite.
Here he is with his favorite stuffy last night. He will often lay his head on it, but last night he just left it in his mouth.
Poor guy, I really hate it when my dog has had to have anesthetic in the past. They are so pitiful. My dog just stands there staring off into space, hardly recognizes me other than a wee wag. Hope your guy gets better soon.
