Sorry these pics are so dark. We had our first snowfall & they were thrilled. Lots' of butt-tucking going on. They love to be out in the snow. They were moving so fast they seem like a blur. I guess I better use the action mode. ;D
Great butt-tuck shot!
Look at 'em go! They love it, don't they!
Our snow is coming down now. I hope we get enough for some good butt-tucking pictures, too!
Great pics! Isn't it just wonderful watching how much fun they have in the snow.Originally Posted by georgie
I am learning something about taking pics with snow in the frame. Snow reflects so much light that it throws the metering of the camera off. A real problem when you subject of interest is dark. i.e. Black or Chocolate Lab. Going to an action mode won't help the darkness much, might make it worse.
I don't know what kind of camera you have. If it is a DSLR, you should be able to find a way to adjust the 'ev' setting +1 or +2. That works great for me. The snow is greatly overexposed, not really objectionable, but the Lab exposure is great. I am still playing with this. If you are using a simpler, point an shoot type camera, I would check the manual or go to the manufacturer's website and search for answer on how to compensate for a snow background when taking pics.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
Go girls! The second reminds me of a couple of greyhounds, and the third one of the double butt tuck - too much.
Love the butt-tuck pic. Looks like they had fun!
Endofile - I tried to pm you but it said "your inbox is full". I have a Canon Rebel. I will try what you said.
Yes, the double butt-tuck cracked me up. They still are pretty much in sync when they are outside. ;D
Great butt tucking shot
Looks like fun girls; we just got our first snow this past weekend too - Bailey loves it!
