    DefaultI just dont get it..

People tossing an animal aside because of the cost of care... I dont get it!! My mom and I were talking to a lady we know who said she would have gotten rid of the dog before spending $600 some dollars on care for a dog.. WTF
My dogs are my kids just with fur!!

I don't get it either *shakes head*. Tucker cost us $2500 with his scare this past year and we had to borrow money from my mom but I would have done anything.

    Oye. :-\

Lets hope that little dog never needs any significant veterinary work done.

There are people like those of us on this forum and others of course, who love our animals who don't even question whether to spend the money for whatever is needed. Then, sadly, there are the others, for whatever their reasons, who just can't. Then there is the third group, who in my humble opinion and from my point of view, who are lower than dirt and are just heartless. They look at their animals as disposable, as they likely do with many other things in their lives. Unfortunate sad bunch they are.

Shadow's surgery and two bouts with shock cost us over $3,000, on top of the $2,970 we paid the IRS just a week before. :-[ We borrowed some from my sister to help cover the vet bills - but there was no way we would not have done everything we could to save our little girl.

Some peopl should not be allowed tohave pets. They should have to take an attitude test before being allowed to take one home. Day 1: Paid the breeder
Day 1/2: Dropped over $1000 at the e-vet.
Who knows how much the standard vet care cost me, I can look it up but not imprtant.
    Day 6 months: $600 for a spay
Day 7 months: $100 at the U hospital for a dental assessment
Day 9 moths: $1500 for dental extractions, reconstructions, and lots of advice.

Not once was there a thought that the money wouldn't be spent. Did shop a little and bargain some for the spay operation, but it was going to be done, and not at the cheapest available either.

The dogs trust and more than commit to us, we commit to the dogs Where are these peoples heads? Never mind, I know. And it is dark in there.

**sigh** You do what needs to be done. I would move heaven and earth to get Tal and Midnight any treatment they needed to get them healthy again. I don't understand people either.
