    Interesting article.

It's true - if you have one of the obsessive type labs, they will do anything for a few minutes of the "game". With Buddy, it's the tennis ball. We have to hide them or he will drop them in our laps, 24/7. He can be sound asleep, but if you say the word b-a-l-l, it's all over. He pops up and heads for the back door, barking and hopping all the way. (Note - I said hopping. We have finally trained him not to jump. The hop is our compromise, lol)

Labs doing what they love best. I think we all can imagine their reward for a job well done.

Too bad I can't send him out to play ball with another doggie friend the way I can with my human son.......

High Energy? I guess I missed the topic of the thread.

Yesterday when I was talking to the vet, I had HK sit at my side. She would sit well for a minute or so and then try to go off to sniff something of interest. The vet asked her to sit and she bounced from where she was to a sitting position directly in front and facing him. She was literally bouncing up and down in that position in front of him.

He looked at her, then me and said, ' I suppose you treat for obeying commands. I guess I am looking at one really High Energy Food Motivated Lab here.' Then he gave her a treat saying, 'She might pop out of her skin if she doesn't get her reward.'
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
