Lula has a strange nickname. Shortly after I got Lula, I was reading something that said that dogs respond best to 2 syllable names. As I read this I looked over at my son and shared what I had just read.
He says, "So we could have named her 'Blah Blah' and that would have been ok?"
It stuck. She is now known as "Blah Blah" around the house. There are also may variations of the name as well. "Blah", "The Blah", "Blahsy", and "BlahBlahDor". ;D
Lula's trainer has her own nickname for Lula: Little Hemorrhoid. :
What kind of nicknames do your labs have and how did they get them?

And since he was little, I started calling him Puppers. And that morphed into Bup and Bup-Bup and Buppy and Buppydog. Puppers will occasionally go to Poppers and Puh-pay.
And of course, there are those names involving words of four letters, but I don't need to elaborate them here........
PupPup..our breeder called Dakota by that when we were out picking "our" pup out..since she didn't name them..she'd call them PupPup. It stuck..and our other nickname for him is MudBucket.
