Does anyone know about how much an abdominal ultrasound cost? Our vet would like to have Nutmeg go to a specialist for one.
I paid about $250-$300 for Stevie's.

I paid close to $500 at UGA, but I think it was for more than abdominal...they were also looking at heart/lungs and trying to find where cancer had originated.
I only pay about $75 to check for pregnancy, but they did an abdominal on Stevie and that costs more.

Sue, Our clinic charges $84.40 for the exam and $195.00 for the ultrasound. Another clinic, a vet friend of ours, west of us towards LaPorte charges $50.00 for the exam and $120.00 for the ultra sound. Did your vet recommend NIVES in Fort Wayne or Dr Han at Westside? NIVES is probably tops around this part of the state and Han is just as good for this type of problem.

The one that Brodie had cost $50. It was an abdominal and he had it just before his surgery. I don't know if the vet gave me a discount or not.
She was taking either one ... NIVES or Han. When I talked to her a little bit ago she said to expect to to cost anywhere between $500 to $1000 for everything she thinks they would do. And that would be low end. She also canceled the other test on the blood work because she thought I would be going to a specialist. Tonight she seems fine!! Hungry as a horse. But I have only been letting her have small meals.
Henery's last year was $385 (CDN). It was an abdominal, and done by the internal med vet at the Oakville Emerg Hospital.
