Something Pad did tonight reminded Tud and I of this little game he made up when he was young.
One afternoon he picked up his rubber ring in his teeth, placed a front paw into the ring, then pulled the ring up to his shoulder. Why? Who knows! He then proceeded to hobble around the living room, ring in his teeth, dragging that "lame" leg around like a wounded Civil War soldier on a rickety wooden crutch.
We said at the time, "He looks like he's playing a lame soldier."
That was it from then on. "Paddy, play lame soldier!" He'd find that rubber ring and go through the routine time after time after time.
The game was over by the time he was fully mature and too large to get that rubber ring hiked up to his shoulder, but it sure was fun to watch him play that game for a very long time.

Oh Nance, it's that kind of memories that will always live in our hearts.

That is so cute.
Aw Paddy you need to ask Santa for a bigger ring.
What a neat memory!
Aw, this is a great memory of Paddy as a younger lad! They do some really precious things...as usual, where's that darn camera when we need it?
Thanks for sharing a very special memory!
