some of you have suggested my senior dog may have a uti, how do you test for that?
Bring a urine sample into the vet. To get the sample, take a ladle and catch him/her in mid stream. Ignore the look they give you thinking you're insane
A tupperware container works well too.and the ones you're bound to get from your non-dog neighbours!!! LOL!Ignore the look they give you thinking you're insane
I would call the vet first. My vet does not let us bring in a urine sample - they insist it must be taken in a "sterile" environment (I.e. they take it and charge me for it).
but as mentionned above, a urine sample will let you know if it is a UTI
Charlie (foster) and Rocky
You will need to get a urine sample. But like the others said...see if your vet allows you to bring it in or if they want to do it.
