All my dogs. Every last one of them.
They enter the living room from the kitchen. They walk past the front of the long couch and make a right turn at the end, to go into another room. Do they complete the pass and clear the arm of the couch? They do not. They magnetize themselves to the edge of the couch arm and ooze into the right turn.
Right turn completed, they enter the little bit of hallway and decide to enter the bedroom. Another right turn required. Do they clear the corner of the wall to execute their turn? They do not. They magnetize themselves to the corner of the walls and ooze into the right turn. Should they decide to make a left turn into the Wooserie whilst in the little hallway, the same protocol holds.
Result? My couch corner and wall corners must be wiped clean (semi-clean?!?) every weekend. I do not mind doing this. Smeary, oily black grub on my walls is becoming a decorative theme for me. Perhaps I could use a Sharpie to enhance the smears to resemble scroll work or Egyptian tomb enhancements. I am not clear on my approach to this, but I will consider any and all suggestions.
Do you people have dogs who enjoy draping themselves along your furniture and walls in the mere process of passage from one room to another?
Seamus and Flynn
Put up a few pieces of doubl sided tape and they will clear the walls.....or take the tape off and play with it.
Not to pass from room to room but our old couch was beagle back high - perfect for a morning rub, especially if the cushions were a little out of alignment and sticking out.

Yes...both of mine do that. They have to rub themselves along the couch as they walk & turn. :
Hee hee... we have a pretty open concept style going on the main floor, so no schmoozing required to go from room to room.
Cute, though. I can just picture it. ;D
