Rowan played in our yard with our children all summer long with no incident. Today, after a snow fall I let her out to play. She was outside with my two boys, 9 and 6. She grabbed onto my sons mitts and trying playing a game of tug and then began on his jacket.
WHY? would she suddenly begin to do this???
I have made it a rule that the kids won't be outside alone with her so that I can at least correct her when this happens.
Any other suggestions??
In the summer we don't wear mitts or jackets? I don't know. I think you probably just need to consistently correct her about it. She'll get the hint quickly.
First, she was probably excited because of the snow - it was something new and different. Second, the mitts and jacket were also something relatively new, and it must have seemed like a good idea at the time. Correct her when she does it and I am sure she will learn quickly not to.

Last year she was very young and was doing it. IT seemed to be the toques off the kids heads when they were on the toboggans.
Thanks = that is what I was thinking too! Darn girl... LOL!
Sounds like you have it pegged pretty well. I think with the snow, and the mitts and jackets she probably just got carried away. Do like you said and be there to correct her. I think she'll be fine.
