DefaultWhat We Do on Rainy Days (3 pics)

It rained yesterday evening. I usually take Zoe out in the yard for some fresh air and some play w/her soccer ball or chicken between 5 and 5:30. She doesn't like the rain. So we played indoors instead. (sorry about the mess...this is where she hangs out during the day)

    (1) Sit inside and sulk
    (2) Go outside and get wet
    (3) Play a little indoor fetch

We won't be doing what you do though. As soon as I do anything to encourage HK to jump over something, I believe the baby gate we use will be nothing more than another obstacle to go over.

Waiting for the day when HK can be trusted loose in the whole house. The baby gate will go, and now Ihave a new idea for mid winter exercise. Neet! And the pics are great.

    Great set-up!!

I wear a rain suit and take a golf (non-metallic) umbrella and we go out.

    aw! what a great idea!

I don't have any long hallways, unless you count the stairs. we have hardwood throughout and a weird layout so playing fetch usually ends in one of us getting run over or knocked down.

Rainy days for us usually include lots of bed time (if it's a weekend) watching tv.

The dogs call it bowling for humans. They especially like that game at dog parks when the humans are off their guard and talking to each other. Lab = bowling ball, humans = bowling pins.

lol not in mama's house!!! i have no where to throw the ball - i haven't gotten the hang of throwing around corners yet
If I throw it up or down the stairs he usually just barrels down at full speed and then he slides on the floor trying to make the turn...i wish i had a sound clip from scooby doo when they are running away from a ghost..it would match up perfect with his legs moving but his body going nowhere!

i love your setup! very creative and resourceful ;D
gives me an idea of what i can do with our our unused clothes racks.

on bad weather days, we just stay indoors and veg out. having more than 1 dog, they usually play with each other or i do clicker training with them. and of course, there is the ever popular activity of getting ones photo taken. being a doggie model is exhausting work.
