just got a call back from one of the vet techs...
tech: "just following up on the call from this morning.. I'm not clear on why you called.. did you have a question?"
me: "um.. did you pass the message on to Dr. **? I had soph in on saturday about a lump, and I think it may be related to a UTI.."
tech: "Where's the lump? I don't think it is, because UTI's......"
me: cut her off - Have you talked to Dr. **? she knows the whole story, and the location of the lump leads me to think there's a connection...."
tech: "Well, where's the lump?" -
me: It's at the top of her hind leg.. look, can you just pass on the message to Dr. **? She'll know what I'm talking about..."
tech: "but do you have a question, I don't understand".
JUST GIVE THE MESSAGE TO DR. **, OKAY?
Been there before...I totally understand your frustration!
Oh boy, Nancy!!!! :
We've been blessed with awesome vet techs both in St.Catharines and here...
That would be sooo frustrating though!! *smacks head*!
just freakin DYING laughing here
been there done that
wondering what the scrap of paper the tech was calling you from had written on it.. and guessing maybe the newish front office folk didn't get it right!

Oh no. I hope she gives the message to the vet.
Lord, I know how you feel! And ours are pretty good!
I hate having to keep repeating myself, it is a big breakdown in communication if she hasn't passed that message on, and pretty bloody annoying too!
Glad you gave her a blasting-

I was at the vets yesterday with Maggie. Of course Daisy came along for moral support and the vet tech we have is wonderful. She had Daisy with her while we had Maggie checked out. They spoil my girls and are extremely competent. I'm sorry you have a diifficult time with yours.
Our tech did say something that made me laugh though. We've had the same vet since she began her practice in 1981. I was commenting on how long we've been clients and hope our vet stays in business for quite a few more years. The tech chimes in that we've been coming there 3 years before she was born! I suddenly felt old.

Some people are more talented, educated, thieving and dishonest than others.
To be fair, I **LIKE my vet clinic,** the staff is almost always friendly, helpful and all - but its infuriating when the tech tries to be the vet.
got a call back from the tech again later in the morning, and I know my message got completely garbled.. I'll have to wait till friday to explain in person
This is why I call and say "Hi, this is Laura, can I speak to Gregg (the vet) please?" LOL
Sorry Nancy. I know how frustrating it it.
