DefaultAw, Flynnie! I got the message, bud!

It's so dark so early now we haven't done evening retrieves for two nights. End of the world for my black boys. Seamus is philosophical about it, Flynn not so much.

While I was in the bathroom doing my makeup this morning I happened to look down at the doorway. There, planted right on the threshold was Flynn's soccer ball. He never brings it indoors.

Gotcha, Flynn. We'll rearrange schedules to get some outdoor games in before dark now.

Is he a problem solver? I'd say so.

    Nance!!

Are the retrieves off-limits because you're having difficulties seeing Flynn in the dark?

This has proven a god-send for Wesley and me in the dark:

Dan - thank you, I am going to bookmark that one for when BJ's blinky light dies. I have tripped over him twice now on night time walks and I wish I had seen this before I got the light.

Dan - the boys don't have any problem with play-in-the-dark, it's momma who can't see worth two cents in the dark. The really bright security light (electric-company-provided in neighbor's yard) does not come on until after 10:00 p.m. We'll work out a shift in our routine.

I have tried a bunch of el-cheapo light-up collars and doo-hickeys. They have all failed miserably. Except this one, which is tough-as-nails, basically because it was designed to withstand the rigors of S&R work. It is one of my favorite pieces of equipment this time of year.

Nance - Can't recommend it enough. And it would free you from having to wait for the neighbors to do the clap-on/clap-off with the lights next door......

Awwwww.... poor Flynn..... my guys are feeling it too. It gets dark here SO early ! So we try to play as soon as I get home from work, before I feed them.
