DefaultA tour of a small local dog park and the variety of dogs

So, I got home from the office a little early today. HK was happy to see me, but went directly on a search for something. She was not interested in going out. She had something she wanted to find. That is when I realized she was looking for Newman. Newman went home last night, and this picture was not satisfying her.

So, I decided to take her to the dog park that is a lot closer to the house. A smaller place, no water, but usually will have a few other dogs for her to run with. It is a beautiful 60 degree day here, full sun, and a pretty good wind. Here is the view from the parking lot. Another unfenced, but natural barrier park.

This is the bridge that has to be crossed in and out of the park.

Looks like quite a crowd up and the shelter.

Hershey seems to like this guy. They ran together for quite a while.

The Doberman was not interested in playing at all.

This group had a good time together. Especially the Italian Greyhound and his brother who is not in this picture.

Here she comes. She is really getting better at coming back into sight when I whistle for her because I can't spot her.

    Just another view or two.

Certainly not the prettiest or best in the area, but nice and close to home for a quick hour of exercise. I am glad to have it.

It looks a nice place to take the dogs, at least it is safe and looks well maintained.

I don't think we have dog parks in the UK, we certainly don't have them near where i live, i don't know weather Trickster or Samson know of any down south where they live, but they are a great idea and i wish we did have them.

Lovely pic of Newman and HK's coat is beautifully shiny-

Murray and Essy want to go to HK's dog park. ;D That is beautiful! If that isn't the prettiest, I can't imagine which one is.

I don't want to be misunderstood. This is a great dog park, but I compare against the others that we fortunately have available to us here in the MPLS area. Of the 5 I have visited, this one is ranks 4 or 5. Over the next few weeks, I will try to get pics of two others. The 5th one on the Mississippi River pprobably ranking number 2 has a $50/year fee that I don't want to pay for the couple months left.

Here are the links to posts with pictures of the one I like the best. Huge, woods, fields, river, just about everything, including restrooms.

I am so jealous!! I couldn't even look at the link to the other parks for fear that i would actually turn green. I would give anthing to have a nice dog park around here.

Looks like you had a great time....looks like it helped HK forget about her crush on Newman...at least for a short time.

    that park is beautiful!

We dont have dog parks in Ireland either.

Just public walkways etc..by the river or large grounds that are visited by dog and non dog owners for their walks etc..
