We got Elias back in October 2004. We never felt the need to register him with AKC. If I know the name of his parents how can I research his pedigree?
You can do an unofficial search, but in order to do an official AKC search the dog must be registered.
You can try doing a Google on the parents names and see what, if anything, comes up.

You can also search for parents' names in the OFA database (www.offa.org) if they were ever examined by the OFA.
Both parents came up there, not that anything there really means anything to meOriginally Posted by Tatyana
Looks like one of his grandparents has over 400 registered offspring. Is that bad?
If you know the parent's registered names or registration number, you can order their pedigree from AKC's website. If you know the name of a sibling, you can save money by only ordering one pedigree
If you want to PM the names to me, I'll see what I can dig up if you'd like
