DefaultHelp -- Repercussions from Eating Large Quantities of Poop?

Goodness, this dog. : Shelby just had a large quantity of unidentified poop. Apparently this was so tasty that she decided to forgo all knowledge of obedience training (of which she has had plenty). Drop it? Hell no! Instead she ran from me with her entire mouth bulging to the point that it was literally hanging out of both sides (grass blades included!). I have no idea the "variety", but she's never gone after anything with this amount of gusto! So my question ... any reason for concern? What are the chances I'll see this on my floor later? (Darn it ... I knew there was a reason I shouldn't have opened that vomit thread yesterday!)

I did cut her dinner in half, as I figured she was probably already stuffed. :-X

Dogs ... sometimes they can really gross me out. :P

    But she's so cute!!

If it was dog poop, she'll probably be fine....goose or bird or cat poop...well...you will soon find out!

Are you SURE it was poop ? Maybe it was a dead animal of some sort.

Ummm, I'm really sure it was poop (the odor was unmistakable). And I'm almost afraid to put this into print ... but I'm thinking human variety. We've had workmen at our house all week, and well ... gosh I don't know what else to say here. I am seriously disgusted.

I hope that's the last you see of it...I've yet to find something more disgusting than cleaning up puked poop > You might want to have her sleep in her crate tonight, if she doesn't already.

    EWWWWWWWW!

I hope Nathan opens this. He will surely have some advice.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry too much. I wouldn't be handing out any kisses for a few days either though. :-X

No she doesn't sleep in a crate any more ... but I think it is high time for a re-introduction.

Bad doesn't begin to describe it. How about this ~ it would wake the dead. (*shudder*)

Bleh! Know about that! Phoebe used to go to daycare (read *used*) until we pulled her out due to her going around and snatching all the dogs poop before the daycare workers could pick it up. She did come down with a few intestinal issues from it...I definitely attribute it to the poop eating...there were large quantities. She has not been sick since we pulled her out...she used to get sick a lot when she would go. So I would be careful.
