DefaultTaste of the Wild by Diamond?

Has anyone ever heard of this, or better yet, have any experience with it?

My dog food lady asked me to ask around and see if anyone knew anything about it. She is just curious, I think. I'd never heard of it. Apparently it's new?

    TIA

PS Here's the link to the nutritional info:

The only thing I have heard was that it was made by Diamond foods and one of our local shops that carries a lot of grain free and pre-made raw said she wouldn't carry it because of that (we were discussing grain free options and she had just had a rep come in from them). I have no idea what that means or why she said that. I know that's not much help, but I did want to mention it was made by Diamond (I couldn't find that on the website, but I called the number listed out of curiousity). Again, can't comment one way or another on the food or the company, just passing on what she said.

Edited to add: If I could read, you already had by Diamond! I'm such a dummy! I just clicked on the link and didn't see that!

    Selective viewing!

Yeah, my dog food lady seemed hesitant about it too, also for that reason. But still curious. I have to admit, the ingredients don't look bad. But to be honest, my thought is, if I'm going to pay top $$ for a food (and it seems they are charging top $$), it's not going to be for something made by Diamond. :-[ I'm afraid I'm still not over the recall problems from 05. I guess I hold a grudge. :-\

I know, a lot of people feed it and have great results! I am just really whimpy about recalls. For myself too. I'm still not eating spinach either.

I think I sort of expected this to be a more economical grain-free choice, because their other food is so much more economical. I think I was disappointed to see that it was just as much as everything else. Oh well!

Just looked at the ingredients, it looks really good- I'm just afraid to change Sammis food when she is doing so well on what she is eating, but not because its diamond! Guess I just have to go with if its not broke don't fix it! I would be interested in what more people think about it though.

Will you think I'm a moron if I confess that I took this post to be about a book you read?

Taste of the Wild by A. Black Diamond

Based on a true story, this is a tale of a black Lab, Neo, and his owner, Nate, and their visit to a San Francisco park. Neo goes missing, and when he is later found in a grove of pines, it is clear that he has gotten a taste of the wild.
