We came back to Costa Rica from Atlanta with a little ball of black fur. I wasnt sure I could love her as I wasnt even sure if I should have gotten her.
As we already had the name, she was Bunny then. A black Bunny that acted more like a monster than a bunny (we almost change the name to Stitch), she was determined to make this her home, no matter what.
She was couragious and made instant connection with her older sister, who was known for her intolerance towards other annoying dogs... And this was a seriously annoying one.
I look back and see that little puppy trying to get up on the bed several times, she studied every angle of failure and tried to do better the next time until she was able to do it. Seeing her get up on the luggage to be as tall as Bear and that way she would have a better attack position. Sit and study you as you talked and every now and then attack you later. She was and is defiant every now and then...and in all her monstiness she is a sweet black girl... I can see how I did fall in love with her and how Bear loves her so much and tolerates the most extreme things Bunny does.
I cannot picture any other Bunny in our lives...she was the one puppy that really belonged with us.
*For those who forgot or dont know, we had a yellow puppy already with a breeder and after the puppy was 5 weeks old, the breeder told us we couldnt have her, I have a couple of theories about the reasons... anyhow, after seeing the pup grow week after week, I was heartbroken. We had already reserved everything and I got a separate airline flight so I could bring the puppy in the cabin with me.
3 Weeks away from the trip I didnt want to go anymore and didnt want to look for any other puppy...my husband said we had to go as it wasnt refundable, at least we should have a vacation... Anyhow, someone from the forum sugested I ask a breeder from Atlanta whos dog had puppies not long before...I contacted her and she had 2 females available, all papers in order... we got the puppy from her.
Here are a few pics:

You can be small but nasty
We are gonna be great together!!
I found my husband and Bunny asleep this way
this is Bunny today
Bunny moves in and has a resident buddy? What could be better than that? And Mom and dad have two furkids! Hmm! Three might be better. Easy for me to say.
