You've both commented about Remi & Cappy's 7-1/2 acres of grass "playground" around our house. Carol took some pics the other day just as I finished mowing and the dawgs were bugging me to go for a run and play some cool evening temperature (for a change) fetching.
A view from of home the entrance area ...
A couple of shots showing parts of the pond that serious duck dawg owners and competition retriever afficianados will appreciate. The dawgs can be sent on a retrieve starting from handler's heel on land, on a direct line through water, back up on onto land, back into the water, up onto land again and then directed to a hidden bumper ... by whistle and hand signals only. Then the dawg must reverse the course and return on a direct straight line back to heel.
When they have done those and other assigned drills correctly, they then get a few "fun bumpers" together on either land or water (depending on temperatures and how hot they are) as their reward for jobs well done.
And then it's off to the shower and into the run while Daddy picks up all the tools and puts the mower and tractor away. At 66 I'm getting too old for this much work!
Remi and Rusty aren't my whole life. They're trying to fill the hole in my heart left by Cappy's passing.
All I can say is that Cappy and Remi are quite possibly the luckiest pooches in the world. Your land is amazing.
It's like DisneyLand for dogs!!!! What a great place to live..I'm very jealous and Kallie is drooling!!!!
Doggie heaven, that's for sure!!
You mean "fun", don't you?At 66 I'm getting too old for this much work!
