When we walk I always stop at an intersection and put Tal in a sit. Sometimes we have to stay there for awhile because I never want him to think he should dart in front of a car.
This afternoon on the way home, stopped at an intersection as usual. The lady was waving us on but I waved her on so I wouldn't walk in front of their car. She rolled down her window and said I sure have him trained well. I thanked her and then Tal got up and wanted to play No doubt thinking she had stopped to play with him!
I'm so pround of him.
Awesome. Always good when something like that happens.
Good job, Tal!
Your good training may well save his life some day! Well done Tal, well done.
I do the same thing on our walks. We stop at every intersection and both dogs sit. I get a lot of compliments from neighbors and even motorists when they see them do it automatically. I makes me feel good that they see the progress. Some neighbors who are out a lot have seen Mocha when we moved with with her pulling and are amazed at how nice she walks now ;D
Keep up the good work with Tal
That is one of the reasons I try to be so consistent with his training. Of course, I want him to be well behaved and all, but his safety and well being is the most important thing to me!Originally Posted by nick_charles
I thought that was the case. Tal & Midnight are lucky to have you. Keep a sharp eye on them both.Originally Posted by myfavoritedog
All I can say is you did your homework and have made Tal a wonderful dad. I couldn't ask for a better home for any dog. He is a good dog because you have loved him from day one and reinforced it with proper discipline and training. You both make me proud!
You should be proud of yourself as well. Comments like this boost your pride for sure.
Nice job Tal.
