I just spoke with Lori and she told me that when she went into my room Brigetta was laying on the love seat and Prudence was sleeping in her crate (door open)
Also, something that was interesting- in the mornings before Brigetta is crated we do retrieves, walk, or she has a good run with Sergeant to tire her out. I tell her to get in her "house", she runs into her crate, turns around, and I give her a treat (which she usually doesn't eat right away :). The past couple of days I've had to give her the command a couple of times because at first she'll jump on the bed, or go in a corner- she hasn't done that since the beginning of this year. I can come back 1 hour later or 8 hours later, I go to open the door, she's running around in circles or pawing at the bottom of her crate. I tell her to sit, which she does, although her bottom half is moving back and forth. I let her out, she runs all over the place, up and down the stairs, I have to say "no jump" before she does. WELL- my sister said that none of that happened this afternoon. Brigetta was calm, jumped off the love seat, went downstairs to play with Sergeant, and didn't even try to jump on her!
I'm still nervous about leaving her out...she may just be pretending to be an angel
I don't know that I will ever feel comfortable giving Brigetta full roam of the house, but I did leave her uncrated in my bedroom today. Someone will be home at 1 to let her out. I've been leaving her in the bedroom when we go out to eat, shopping, etc. and she's done well. She grabbed a bag of treats off of the bookcase- but didn't eat them. I found them on the bed : She usually just sleeps on the love seat in my room...I hope that's the case today

hopefully brigetta behaves herself!
we've been slowly letting ginger have full roam of the house when we go out. the longest so far has been 3 hours and nothing was touched...not even the cat food!
