    DefaultCanine relationships

So far, I have not allowed Duke to play with Bruno because Duke is such a rough player. Judy enforced this by positioning herself between B&D whenever it seemed that they would start playing. Bruno is much bigger now and I have allowed B&D to play together. Duke is still rough but Bruno always goes back for more and seems to like playing with him, but this is making Judy a nervous wreck. Took some pics of B&D playing the other day, and you can see how much Judy wants to intervene.

    Bruno thinking"They're arguing over me"

Notice J&D having a discussion in the background

Oh this happens all the time in my house. : My 9 year old heeler thinks that if anyone is playing (hence growling or barking) she has to get in the middle of it and stop it. No time for that stuff, she says.

Looks like Judy is the peacekeeper ... or maybe just a referee?

Look at Judy, I love it! She's the big protector ;D Great pictures
Prudence gets in between Brigetta and Sergeant (GSD) when she thinks things are getting too rough between them. She doesn't like it at all. It's funny because she is so much smaller than the other two, but she'll dive right in between them. I think it stresses her out, so I usually keep them away from her (only because of her age/health issues).

Judy is a wonderful big sister. I think its fantastic. The dynamics between dogs never ceases to fascinate me.

Your pictures are wonderful documentation and the descriptions made me chuckle.

Oh funny...I love the last one with Bruno in the front - he's getting the camera attention while the other two "talk" in the back.

Those pictures crack me up. Judy is very protective of her little brother, isn't she. Good girl Judy.
