DefaultPaddy: When he displays puppy-like behaviour now

Oh, I'm always thrilled to see it, but at the same time there's this little nag in the back of my head and heart... "Uh-oh... he's almost 11 years and pretty arthritic... is he having a "last bloom?"

Sounds kind of morbid, but I'll bet the senior lab parents here know what I'm talking about.

(Please tell me I'm not nuts.)

    You're nuts Nance.

I understand exactly what you mean. Sometimes they just feel good. I see it with Remy and I just smile and laugh as she smiles.

Thanks... I really did need to hear that. I smile too and make sure he sees me smiling. God I love that dog!

I understand completely. I think all labs are puppies at heart until they die....sometimes the "puppyness" just bursts out of them Gus seems to be getting more playful the older he becomes!

    Won't someone please feed me!

Yes, Georgie. Going on 6... about 5-1/2. I remember posting pictures of him with baby Megan who just turned 6.
