Rookie is now 10 days post op and he is full of piss and vinegar. We've gone through 3 wraps at this point...and I even got him a cone...but the stinker figured out how to get out of it...and chewed the crap out of it....STINKER. That was definitely the big puppy "F-YOU" when I came home and he was sitting in the kennel sans-cone. :
Stitches come out at 4PM today...which means no more bandage....but still on restricted activity...which is the bigger headache...he just wants to play soooooooo bad.
Otherwise, he's doing great....itching like crazy in his shaved areas...and goofy as all heck.

What a relief, huh?! ;D

That's good news. But still being on restricted activity!!! : Good luck, Dani.
It's great to hear Rookie is doing so well Dani. Soon enough he'll be running around getting rid of some of that piss and vinegar..I know you must be feeling much better too..now that it's almost all behind you.
The fact that he a fidgity goofball is all good news, you wouldn't want him any other way!
Glad he's made such a good recovery-

Glad the stitches are out today Dani ! Now the real fun begins huh ? ;D
When will you know if the surgery was a success?
Hope Rookie continues to heal quickly.
Awesome - great recovery Rookie!!
I totally understand the frustration though - Bailey was biting nails to run wild after she was spayed!
Yeah you are on the road to recovery! I found Gold Bond medicated powder works well on shaved areas to help relieve the itch. If it's really red and bumpy then a few Benedryl with dinner will help make him comfortable and a bit sleepy and not so wound up.
Yay no more stitches!!
