I went to a babys shower and come home to find Harlee had diarrhea in her crate. I feel terrible, i gave her a piece of a treat today that was called lobster bisquet and the only other thing that she tried was a kneecap? Would this make her sick? She has been pretty used to bones, eating marrow bones but today was the first time with the knee cap, could it be this or the lobster treat?
I am sorry she is sick. I have no advice. Just wanted to say hope she is better soon.
If she has never had these treats before, they could possibly have upset her stomach. I would be careful giving them to her again until you find out what the culprit might be. Good luck and keep us posted. I'm sure others will be along with some advice.
I hope Harlee feels better. Maybe the new treats upset her tummy.
How is Harlee today? Any further tummy upsets?
Thanks for asking, she slept through the night but still has diarrhea today. I just went and bought some pumpkin, i was looking around and I see to give her 1 tbsp/day is that correct?
I would like to know if its from the knee cap or the treat because she really liked the bone and it kept her busy. I would have thought that a marrow bone would be harder on her (and she does fine with those)
Poor harlee, i feel terrible for her she has never messed in her crate :'(
Poor Harlee. I don't have any thoughts. I do have a question though to something you said. I thought pumpkin was for when they were constipated or had not gone. Did I misunderstand what I had read in the past - is it for diarrhea? Just want to know for future reference. Hope Harlee gets to feeling better.
Just checking to see how Harlee is doing. I know that Duke will get an upset stomach if has something new and different. Especially if it is rich in fat. As to pumpkin....you can use it for constipation and diarhea.

If the "kneecap" is like a knuckle bone, that is likely what caused the problem. They can get so muuch more off one of those type bones than they can a regular marrow bone. Give her a couple good spoons of pumpkin, and no more kneecaps - just marrow bones.
