Oh, you guys are not going to believe this!

So we went to agility this morning. Again, the whole family decided to go, because after all, that's why we got the Volvo.

We were almost home when Simon got really, really whiny. He's always a little whiny, but this was over the top. Kevin tells him to hush, and looks in the rear view mirror to see what is going on.

Kevin says, "Did you put Simon on the wrong side?" Back story: It is an unspoken law that Simon rides in the compartment opposite the driver, because he paces and gets up and down and generally acts like a bad dog in the car. : So I looked, and said, "Yeah, he's on the wrong side." I couldn't believe I did that...I could have sworn I put him in behind the passenger seat. ???

A few minutes go by and Simon is still whining. I look back again, and see the top of Angus' head in the same compartment with Simon. ??? There are two dogs on one side of the car! Somehow, Simon has managed to get in the same crate with Angus.

I am thinking, "Oh man, I cannot WAIT to get home and post this on the Lab forum..."

Here is what I saw when Angus raised up:

Angus: "What the hell? I hope you are planning on fixing this..."

"Well don't just stand there staring at us. Get him outta here!"

Simon: "I like it this way. Much cozier."

Me: "Hey Kevin! I think we could have FOUR dogs!"

Here's the opening Simon squeezed through, between the middle gate and the back one against the seat. About six inches.

Simon: "In retrospect, maybe that wasn't such a great idea. I can't believe I did that."

    Angus: "Sheesh. What a dumbass."

That is way too funny. Isn't it amazing how they get in their routine and whoa be your ass if you screw it up. : Next time you'll have to make sure they are on the correct sides, after all you don't want to start something with that squeezing between thing. : How did he fit. Amazing.

Oh, but they WERE on their right sides when we started out! I guess Simon just decided the grass was greener on the other side of the crate.

Holy Cow! How did he fit through that tiny space?? Too bad you didn't catch him while he was squeezing himself into Flat Dog! That's too much.

That is too funny. Well we were just talking about routines & I guess Simon knows where his crate is. I still can't believe he got in there.
