Ok so I go into the kitchen before going outside to cut the grass. Of course I have my little entourage. I look down and Midnight has gotten a paw stuck in the rug in front of the sink. Poor thing tried to walk and couldn't. I took a deep breath because I have never "rescued" Midnight before. Well, whaddya know, Midnight just calmly sat down while I grabbed the paw, gently pulled it backwards and voila! Away he goes!
Never made a fuss or anything.I wish I was a fraction of what my furbies think I am. I get that look when they get into something, ok dad you can fix anything
It's amazing how much our pets trust us. I once cut a mat off ChiChi and got a piece of skin with it. She didn't run away or anything. I felt awful, but she even let me remove mats after that. Anyone else wouldn't let me near them with scissors in hand after something like that. (Her hair tends to mat easily especially when wet.)
I have a dozen little guinea pigs and i have a nail trimming afternoon every so often- they used to worry and struggle when i first started doing it but now they will sit on my knee whilst i trim away- like mitziandjudysmom said on a few occasions i have trimmed too short and made them "wheek" but they still trust me- like my siggy says, if only we could be half the person our pets think we are!

They trust you. They know you will take care of them.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
They know that you are Mr Fixit and they trust you
