The boy that I absolutely could not restrain... is now restrainable but he screams like I'm killing him, but at least the fight is leaving him.
Oh, I hate doing this to him, but by the time we are done treating his eye, I suspect he will let me do anything to him.
BTW, whoever it was that suggested I take him in the bathroom, thank you. That works really well as he doesn't have many options to get away
And, least anyone think I'm abusing the boy, we are TREATING him LAVISHLY with praise and treats for allowing himself to be restrained.
blessing and a curse eh? :-\
Same with Baloo, he had an ear infection like, a week after we brought him home. He struggled against my restraining him to clean/treat his ears the first few times, but then settled. Now, he just got another ear infection, and even though he's much bigger than he was then, he is still restrained with ease, and doesn't really seem to mind it at all. :-*

I'm glad to hear it is going better. He is going to be a big boy Linda, so better get him trained while he is young.
Glad the small enclosure of the bathroom idea worked.
I won't try that with Paddy and nail clipping... I need an escape route! :

The screaming is horrible. Honestly, you would think he was dying. I think it's his only release at this point, so I let him scream. He's got a set of lungs too.
And the truly odd thing is, after we are done and out of the bathroom, guess who he wants to be withYep, me. Bless his little heart.
I do wonder what goes on in their heads at times though
WHEN LABS SCREAM!!!
