Went to see Bo's brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews (2 litters of labbies!) The pups are 5-1/2 weeks and 6-1/2 weeks. 16 puppies, puppies everywhere. They're so cute and it was so hard to figure out who is the pup to complete our "pack". We started out with the notion that we would love to have a chocolate (3 of the older boys are chocolate). After a hard 2 hours of thought and laughing at antics, having our toes chewed and being practical, we decided on a cute little black boy from the younger litter, with just a tiny patch of white on his chest. This is Bo's half brother and more likely to be similar in temperament and size. The chocolates will probably be aobut 10 pounds heavier and very high energy. Bo's just the right level of energy for us- he's full of fun, but he settles down, too.
So, that's the story, we'll be getting the pup in about 2 or3 weeks. Now to decide a name!
I wish we'd taken a camera with us. The funniest thing was when they got tuckered out they all huddled up together under a table and took a nap in one big pile! O.K. maybe that wasn't the funniest. The breeders call them all down to one end of the yard to go potty. They all troop down there and potty. Too sweet.
