    DefaultSenior dog food . . . a question.

I'm inquiring about this for a friend of mine. She has a senior lab who will be ten next month. Does anyone know of a senior dog food that does not have chicken in it? She cannot seem to find one, so I told her I would ask the very knowledgable people on the JL Board! So, does anyone know of a senior food that does not have chicken in it?

Why does she need a senior food? If weight is an issue, then feed regular food, only less. Can give green beans for empty calories if the dog still seems hungry.

I agree with the above - no need for senior food. Full of fillers most of them. Just give less of a food that works.

Oh and if it's about the glucosimine, there isn't enough in the food to have any effect. If you want them to have any benefit from gluc buy it separately.

Thanks everyone! Because Addie Bell is a senior, she thought senior food was best for her -- I'll tell her not to worry about it!! I appreciate your feedback.

I don't feed a senior food unless the dog is having some issues. I think ProPlan has a lamb senior but I don't know for sure.
