DefaultOK I really need your help (Stinky)

Ok Harlee is 5 months old and the older she gets the worse my house stinks I am not sure why, I mean I know sometimes peoples houses smell like dogs but mine stinks like dog.....anyone have any idea?

Should I take her to the groomers for one bath? If I put my face close to her, she doesn't really stink, just smells like dog. MY HOUSE STINKS..

I opened all the windows on the weekend, opened 3 air fresheners and it still smells like dog!

Edited to add that on a scale of 1 to 10 its a 10

I think I'd take her to the vet. Labs don't stink like most dogs.

Are you using shampoo on Harlee? When Zoe was a puppy, I used shampoo and she smelled pretty bad. Once I stopped, her odor went away.

Could it also be her "frito" smelling toes which are making your carpets smell?

Also, could she be expressing her anal glands in the house? Sometimes when Zoe gets excited and does her big girl bark, her glands leak and gawd it smells bad. I wipe her butt in those instances.

Hope it gets better. We have people over, and they say if they didn't see Zoe, they wouldn't know there was a dog in the house.

    Good luck.

I don't know if it helps but I remember when we got Toby from the breeder he was very "dog stinky" and this went away when we changed his food.(from IAMS to CANIDAE)

How often do you vacuum? Could also be her bedding.

I can't help. It seems worse than I have come across. Is she having a little pee somewhere.

I am obsessed with dog smell and ask people if the house stinks. They always say no. I put the dogs beds outside days it doesn't rain. I wash the covers every week. At least the ones not shredded.

If the doors and windows have been closed I can smell dog in their room. An hour after the window and door is open it is fine.

Kass and Ernie had Euko and they were fine.

Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Same here and I don't have a stink. I know there is dog in the house, but friends don't

I feel sorry for you as I hate smells.

Running a fan all the time also helps.
