So I was doing the daily pick up of Clarence's toys this morning and went to drop them all on his bed that is in our room and noticed a large stain on his bed. I looked closer and it went around half of the bed (it's a round Orvis bed with a bolster on the back side). I smelled it and it didn't smell like pee. I took the cover off to put it in the wash and it had soaked through a bit. Very odd. Can't figure out what it was. DH said maybe drool (he eats his frozen kongs on his bed when we leave him alone) but it was too big of an area and drool doesn't leave a mark. He went potty right before bed last night and we didn't get up any later than usual this morning to let him out. It's a mystery to me....
We have that same bed, and when we couldn't get the stain out, (vomit on ours), Orvis did an even exchange on the bed. Just an FYI! Only bad thing for us, is it was out of season, so we had to get a different bed
Does he lick himself? Sometimes Mitzi leaves a wet spot where she was licking her butt.
I thought Erns had peed his bed as there was a big stain. It didn't smell like pee so I presumed it was from the night before when I heard him licking.Originally Posted by mitziandjudysmom
yeah i've had that too when mine have been giving themselves a good grooming they leave a wet patch- usually when they've been licking their forearms or feet :P

Clarence licks his feet, butt, legs, any other body part he can get to and it does leave a mark but it's not visible when it dries. This mark was still visible and really big...It came out so we don't have to exchange the (thank goodness!) but good to know, thanks!
My cat makes this odd sucking motion and drools in her sleep, sometimes she leaves surprisingly large wetspots!!
I thought it was pee at first too, until I saw her in action. :
